This is a church wide project with the majority of the volunteer work done on Saturdays. Upcoming workdays scheduled for HBBC are: Jul 11, Jul 25, Aug 8, Aug 22, Sep 12, Sep 26 and Oct 10. Where Does God Need You?
Our Nominating Committee is hard at work looking for people to serve in the Children’s Ministry. The following are some opportunities you might want to consider serving as this year: Preschool Sunday School Teacher, Extended Session Assistant or a Wednesday Night Mission Leader. You can view details about these positions in this week’s issue of The Happenings. Please think about whether these areas might be of interest to you. If you would like to talk further about the responsibilities, call or email Kristen. She’d love to talk to you! 833.4617 or email:

12 Baskets Full Food Drive
The disciples filled 12 baskets with leftovers after Jesus fed the multitude. We would like to do the same! We are now filling basket # 10! Only two left to reach our goal of 12! Food will be donated to Urban Ministries to meet their summer demands and some food items will be gleaned to replenish our own Benevolence food pantry. Bring a variety bag if you can for a family of four: non-perishable meat products, vegetables, fruits, cereal, peanut butter, rice, cereal, mac /cheese, soup, pasta, dried/canned milk, beverages, etc.You may also choose to donate a $25 Food Lion gift card (place in the drop box beside the office).  Monetary donations may be made to HBBC, noted ‘for Benevolence Ministry’.
