Ministers On Call
Our ministers will be on-call during the weekend should a ministry need or emergency arise. To reach the minister on call, call the church office (919-833-4617) after 5 p.m. on Friday and press number 8. That will connect you to the minister on call for that weekend.
Upcoming Wednesday Nights
Our schedule for the remaining Wednesday nights until we break for Summer: May 22, 29, June 5- "Climbing Holy Mountains" led by Dan Day. This study focuses on the mountain-stories of the Bible that take us to "high places" next to heaven. In this study we'll consider life-lessons that may be learned from climbing the holy mountains of Sinai, Moriah, and Zion.
Helpers for Nursery Renovation Needed
We are ready to get started on our exciting Nursery renovation and WE NEED YOU! Moving day will be Wednesday, May 22 from 1:30-5. We will be moving light furniture and boxes to temporary classrooms and storage areas. If you can help all or part of the time, please contact Kathy Teague at teagkat1@gmail.com or at 919-818-5000.
Movers and Shakers Luncheon- May 28
Join us for our final luncheon before summer break. We will meet Tuesday, May 28 at 12 noon in the Fellowship Hall. Hospice of Wake County will be here to share an overview of their program and to help answer any questions you might have. Special price of $6/person! RSVP to Virginia in the church office by May 22.
VBS Registration
Save the dates for this year's VBS: June 21-23. Friday night from 5-8:30 p.m. (Chick-fil-a dinner for $3), Saturday from 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. (cheese/pepperoni pizza lunch for $3), and Sunday from 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. (continental breakfast served before Sunday School and then after Worship, the Final Celebration with Snoopy's lunch for $3). Go Change Your World...Serve Others! The life you touch will touch another! Registration is now open! You can either register by filling out a form found around the church or by filling out and submitting the online form.
Deacon Nomination Ballot
Nominee lists and ballots were mailed this past week. If you did not receive one, there are some available in the church office. Ballots are due to the church office by 12 noon on Sunday, June 2. Contact Cathy Eller with any questions.
Graduate Sunday- June 2
Attention all graduates! We need a wallet sized photo, the name of your high school or college you graduated from (with degree), and the full name of the graduate by Wednesday, May 29th in order for the graduate to be included in the Graduate Sunday bulletin. Please turn in to David With or Virginia Murray.
Movers and Shakers June Outing to Charlotte
Join us on Monday, June 24 as we travel to Charlotte to visit the Aviation Museum and the Billy Graham Library. We will leave the church at 8 a.m. and return by 6:30 p.m. Cost for the trip is $7 plus money for lunch. Please RSVP to Virginia Murray if you plan on joining us by Sunday, June 9.
Habitat for Humanity
Starting this September we will be partnering with several local churches to construct a new Habitat for Humanity house. We need lots of helping hands to help with the different stages of the construction process. If you are interested in helping please contact Greg Holmes (holmesgm@att.net or 919-606-4420) to get your name on the list. Please come and help in September.
